Ceta Free Trade

The ‘Canada and European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement’ (CETA) is by far one of the most ambitious trade initiatives, since the North American Free Trade Agreement. It will open new markets to exporters and generate significant benefits and wealth.

At the end of 2015, there were about 510 million inhabitants living in the European Union. The GDP of this common economic marketplace was valued at EUR 14.7 trillion. CETA will make it easier for Canadians to invest in the EU and will also give Canadian suppliers access to the EU government procurement market (worth $2.7 trillion in 2012).
